Say Yes to the Dress

Most people have at least heard of, if not seen, the show Say Yes to the Dress on TLC.

This show is a must watch, and I can not get enough of it. There is a Say Yes to the Dress and Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta.

The show is about the store Kleinfield, which is a high-end dress store in New York and other states. The dresses are pricey, but also very good quality.

Kleinfield is just one of the stores that you can go to to get the most important dress of your life.

If you are from the Tennessee area, I suggest the following places: Encore Bridal and Formalwear, David’s Bridal, Glitz Bridal and Bridal Country.

David’s Bridal also has stores in all 50 states!

Along with the choice of WHERE to get your gown, you also have to think about the type of style that you want!

Some questions that might be in your mind:

  • What dress would my husband-to-be like?
  • What dress would hide a certain body part that I don’t want to flaunt to everyone?
  • What is my price range?
  • Short dress or long dress?

So many questions to think about, but you have to confront them all. Although, I believe that the perfect dress is going to be so perfect, that you won’t have to question it.

Long dresses are the traditional look, but some people now like to wear a short dress, or change into a short dress for the reception.

These are just a few of the many different styles of dresses that you can get for your special day.

If you look on Pinterest, there are thousands of dress options that you can find! I have many of them pinned to my Wedding Dresses board just waiting for you to see.

So what stlye of dress would you like to wear?

For the boys, which style of dress would you like to see your bride in?

  1. Great post! I have no knowledge of dresses, so I would let the bride decide everything on that side of the table. Keep up the good work!

  2. I can not wait until the day I get to go wedding dress shopping. You’re right, there are so many different styles and choices. I love the idea of having a long, elegant gown for the actual wedding, and then changing into a shorter more girly, fun dress for the reception. Plus, what bride wouldn’t want to show off TWO fab dresses?!

  3. I don’t think I would wear a short dress to my wedding, but like I said before, I don’t want to spend a lot of money on a dress either. I’m thinking something pretty, but who cares if it gets ripped at the reception dancing and such. I like the pictures a lot…especially the lace one on the left!

  4. I haven’t had to worry about any wedding dress shopping just yet, but these have definitely given me some good tips to consider! There really are all kinds of dresses out there now, so the decision making process could be a long one. Thanks for the ideas!

  5. I like this post. When i get married i want my wife to go all out with her dress. I don’t want her to have a dress that someone else wore or can find in a store. So basically she need to customize it. The price wouldn’t matter to me because its our big day. I want everything to be like no one has ever seen.
