Let’s Eat Some Cake!

In today’s wedding world, there are so many options for things to eat besides the traditional wedding cake.

A friend of mine that is gettting married this summer is making small pies, for example.

This cake is awesome! It is a mix between the traditional white cake and the groom's cake.

Perfect for trying to mix in "something blue"

These cakes are very classy looking with a modern twist on them.

Cupcakes are becoming very popular to have in place of cakes, and they are much cheaper for your budget.

For those of you who cannot decide between a cake and cupcakes, here is the perfect solution!

This is my personal favorite because of the pearls on it. It is so different!

This is the couple's favorite poem written on their cake. What an adorable idea! You could also do favorite verse or favorite song.

Classy but girly.

Some of the best cakes are made from bakeries. My favorite bakery is Carlos Bakery of Cake Boss.

My other favorite bakery is a local one in Murfreesboro, Tenn., called Julia’s Bakery.

While bakeries are very good at making cakes, they tend to be a bit pricey.

If you are looking to cut the cost on your wedding cake, try for a baker who bakes from his or her home.

They typically charge less because they do not have to pay for employees and rent.

If you do not know any bakers that bake from home, I know two that live in Tennessee.

Brooke Broslat and Ashley Riggs are both good friends of mine and make wonderful cakes!

Whatever you decide to do, it will be special for your day!

If you answered “Something else,” what is it that you will want to do?
